Belarus and Uzbekistan strengthen cooperation in security and crime prevention

On October 7, the next meeting of the interdepartmental coordination working group between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus took place, marking another important step in expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of security and crime prevention.
During the meeting, the sides discussed ways to further enhance interdepartmental collaboration, focusing on key areas such as ensuring public security, combating terrorism and extremism, and fighting transnational organized crime.
Parties discussed the effectiveness of current cooperation, notably in operational-search activities, which has contributed to achieving shared goals and improving joint efforts between the law enforcement agencies of both countries.
The discussions were held in an open and constructive atmosphere. The meeting concluded with the signing of official minutes, outlining the agreements reached and the next steps in cooperation.
In the second part of the day, the Belarusian delegation planned to visit the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Tashkent city and the Department of Safe Tourism.
