Аbout the ministry
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) is a republican government body that carries out general management and coordination of the activities of the system of internal affairs bodies.
The Ministry reports directly to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and on certain issues provided for by law, to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, by his status, is part of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Ministry in its activities is guided by the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, resolutions of the chambers of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decrees, resolutions and orders of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, resolutions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, orders and instructions of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as these Regulations.
The Ministry carries out its activities directly through the internal affairs bodies, including in interaction with government bodies, self-government bodies of citizens, other organizations and citizens, as well as with the media.
The activities of the Ministry are open and transparent, except for cases provided for by law.
The Ministry systematically informs state bodies, self-government bodies of citizens and the population about the state of the crime situation, law enforcement and public safety in the country, measures taken to prevent offenses and combat crime, as well as the implementation of other tasks assigned to the Ministry and internal affairs bodies.
The Ministry is a legal entity and has a seal with the image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its name, and may also have symbols that reflect the specifics of the Ministry’s activities, approved in the prescribed manner.
