A discussion of cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Secretary General of the ECO was held

The Ministry of Internal Affairs hosted an official meeting with the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), Asad Majid Khan, who paid a working visit to Uzbekistan.
The meeting was opened by First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Ayubhon Rakhmatullayev. He provided insight into the outcomes of reforms in the internal affairs system in recent years.
As part of the discussions, the sides exchanged views on the need to strengthen cooperation between the law enforcement agencies within the framework of economic partnerships. There was a particular emphasis placed on the importance of sharing information and best practices in the fight against transnational crime, preventing illicit drug trafficking, and countering terrorism and cybercrime.
The dialogue was held in an atmosphere of openness and mutual understanding. This resulted in the identification of future plans aimed at building consistent cooperation and sustainable partnership within the Organization.
