As a result of Interpol channels, citizens wanted from the United Arab Emirates were successfully returned to Uzbekistan.
Interpol National Central Bureaus in Tashkent and Abu Dhabi have effectively cooperated to extradite two individuals internationally wanted for serious offenses from the United Arab Emirates to Uzbekistan.
In recent years, the bilateral relations established during meetings and negotiations between the two National Central Bureaus for the purpose of combating transnational crime continue to strengthen, contributing to the accelerated extradition of offenders under existing international agreements.
The extradited individuals were wanted by Uzbekistan's law enforcement agencies on charges related to economic and property crimes. Court proceedings are now scheduled to hold them criminally responsible.
