Delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan attended the Council of Ministers Meeting of CIS Member States

On August 12, the delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the latest meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation.
The meeting included delegations from the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and the Russian Federation, as well as representatives from the Bureau for Coordination of the Fight against Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Crimes within the CIS Member States, the Center for Combating Terrorism of CIS Member States, and officials from the CIS Executive Committee.
The meeting agenda focused on key areas of cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of CIS member states. It also focused on the implementation of interstate programs to combat crime.
The participants had productive discussions on improving collaboration between forensic investigators, information sharing to combat cybercrime, training programs for road safety, and efforts to combat illegal migration among the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Following the meeting, decisions were signed by the heads of delegations, and the Chairman of the Council signed the meeting report.
Furthermore, bilateral meetings were held between the Minister of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan and officials from Russia and Belarus, during which discussions focused on improving cooperation in law enforcement, combating organized crime, terrorism, illegal drug trade, and cybercrime, in addition to plans for improving personnel training.
The events were conducted in a friendly and constructive manner. Agreements were made to further develop institutional relationships and collaborate on joint projects for practical results in the future.
