Citizens who were tracked through Interpol channels from the United Arab Emirates were extradited to Uzbekistan in a coordinated effort. As a result of the close collaboration and effective coordination between the National Central Bureaus of Interpol in Tashkent and Abu Dhabi, this operation was made possible.
As a result of this cooperative initiative, three individuals, who had been internationally wanted and accused of committing grave crimes, were extradited to the Republic of Uzbekistan from the United Arab Emirates. The individuals have been transferred to the appropriate law enforcement agencies in Uzbekistan for further legal action.
The increasing number of extraditions can be attributed to the strengthened bilateral contacts established during the various meetings and negotiations that are based on existing international agreements and are designed to address all facets of transnational crime.
The extradited individuals were wanted by Uzbekistan's law enforcement agencies for economic and property crimes committed within the country. They will now face criminal accountability and will be subject to trial proceedings.
