The National Central Bureau of Interpol in Uzbekistan and the relevant authorities in the United States cooperated effectively to make this operation possible. The individual, a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was apprehended in the United States and subsequently returned to his homeland.
The individual is accused of committing embezzlement as defined in Part 3 of Article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Through a comprehensive exchange of information and careful negotiation with U.S. law enforcement agencies and the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan, the Interpol Central Bureau successfully facilitated the deportation of the wanted individual.
On July 13, 2025, the individual was received at Islam Karimov International Airport in Tashkent, where he was transferred to the Interpol Central Bureau. Currently, the issue of legal liability is being considered in accordance with the relevant legal frameworks.
