For the first time, a Criminal wanted for Fraud was extradited from the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Uzbekistan

A person wanted through Interpol channels was extradited from Lithuania to Uzbekistan. This operation was conducted under the supervision of the Interpol Tashkent Bureau.
The individual accused of fraud as defined by Article 168 of the Criminal Code, was formally placed on the international wanted list as a citizen of Uzbekistan. As a result of Interpol communications, the suspect's location within Lithuanian territory was confirmed, resulting in his arrest and subsequent custody for extradition purposes.
Upon the approval of the request from the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the authorities from Lithuania agreed to extradite the individual. This facilitated his return for justice for the offenses committed.
At the Islam Karimov International Airport in Tashkent, the suspect was officially handed over to the local law enforcement agencies by representatives of the Interpol National Central Bureau of Uzbekistan.
This incident marked the official start of collaboration between the National Central Bureaus of Interpol in Tashkent and Vilnius regarding the extradition process. It set the foundation for future partnerships aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two nations in the fight against international crime.
