The individual, who was placed on the international wanted list via Interpol channels, was extradited from the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Uzbekistan. A National Central Bureau of Interpol Muscat was responsible for overseeing this extradition.
According to Article 135 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the accused is charged with human trafficking. Following the submission of relevant materials, it was established that the individual was residing in Oman, where he was apprehended in April of this year.
Additionally, it is noteworthy that approximately one month ago, two female individuals implicated in criminal activities were also extradited from Oman to Uzbekistan, with the assistance of officials from the Tashkent Interpol National Central Bureau.
Through negotiations undertaken during previous visits and the establishment of effective bilateral contacts, collaborative efforts culminated in an agreement to fulfill the request of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the extradition of the accused.
The wanted individual was subsequently handed over to representatives of the National Central Bureau of Interpol and law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Uzbekistan at Islam Karimov International Airport in Tashkent.
