Wanted criminal woman arrested in Istanbul and extradited to Uzbekistan

In a collaborative effort involving the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Istanbul, a significant search operation was conducted that led to the apprehension of an individual wanted for committing a crime on Uzbekistan territory. A joint investigation led to the successful detention of this individual.
This case was successfully resolved as a result of the productive partnership between the Operational Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the First Secretary of the Consulate General in Istanbul, who served as the liaison officer for internal affairs.
It has been reported that the individual, I.U., born in 1981, was placed on the wanted list by the Namangan Regional Department of Internal Affairs under Part 3 of Article 135 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Following thorough operational intelligence, authorities determined that she had been hiding in Istanbul, Turkey.
On June 17, this individual was successfully detained in Turkey and subsequently extradited to the Republic of Uzbekistan in accordance with established legal procedures.
