A Declaration on the entry into force of the protocol on additions and amendments to the agreement on visa-free travel of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan signed on June 18, 1997, between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan

The protocol was signed on August 22, 2023, in Baku, Azerbaijan, and entered into force on January 15, 2024.

The protocol is aimed at creating favourable conditions for the citizens of the two countries, and it specifies that they will be exempt from the obligation to enter/exit Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, pass through transit, and register with the competent authorities of the country they are in for 15 days.
