As a significant step towards integrating artificial intelligence into law enforcement, a Memorandum of Cooperation has been signed between the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Central Asian Artificial Intelligence Association (AICA).
This agreement was reached during a meeting attended by Vladimir Norov, Chairman of the AICA, and Rustam Khatamov, Head of the Academy. With the ongoing globalization of society, the discussion provided a valuable opportunity to exchange perspectives on the increasing relevance of artificial intelligence technologies in a variety of facets of social life.
According to Chairman Norov, the country's leadership has placed a significant amount of emphasis on this field, as several regulatory frameworks have been adopted in recent years, aimed at improving the development and implementation of artificial intelligence technologies, including the "Artificial Intelligence - 2030" strategy. The association has outlined its priority objectives in alignment with these developments.
Additionally, the meeting discussed potential applications of artificial intelligence within internal affairs agencies, challenges that need to be addressed, future initiatives, and the benefits associated with the digitization of educational processes. Highlighting the Academy's commitment to incorporating digital technologies into education, Khatamov discussed recent innovative approaches, particularly those realized through the "Smart Academy" platform. A video presentation featuring the latest educational innovations was showcased to association representatives.
Acknowledging the significance of adopting advanced practices, the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation marks a significant step for both entities in their quest to enhance the role of artificial intelligence in law enforcement.
Following the signing of the formal agreement, the guests were provided with an overview of the Center for Monitoring and Controlling the Quality of Education's modern capabilities, the structured educational processes in the master's program, the Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, and the Information and Resource Center, as well as an inspection of specialized vehicles utilized for training operational-investigative units.
The visitors commended the forward-thinking initiatives aimed at cultivating a highly skilled workforce for internal affairs, as well as the advancement of educational and scientific activities.
On the same day, Chairman Norov engaged in a dialogue with master's students and faculty members. This dialogue centered around contemporary cyber threats, the utilization of artificial intelligence in addressing crimes facilitated by information technology, and the extensive deployment of digital tools within law enforcement operations.
An overview of the objectives and ongoing activities of the association was presented to the participants.
