On February 5, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Lieutenant-General Pulat Bobojonov, with the participation of the adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on issues of coordination of the activities of law enforcement and control bodies, Daniyar Kadirov, held an emergency meeting on the activities of internal affairs bodies.
Deputy Ministers of Internal Affairs, heads of regional services, heads of regional internal affairs bodies and officials of law enforcement agencies took part in the event.
At the meeting, the result of the extended meeting of the Security Council, which was held under the chairmanship of the Head of the State on January 12, was discussed. Issues aimed at implementing the tasks and the results of the activities of the Armed Forces and military-administrative sectors in 2023 and the tasks intended for the near future were considered.
An organizational issue was discussed during the event. By the Decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, it was announced that Ashrapov Ramazon Akhmathojaevich was appointed to the position of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Head of the Investigation Department.
During the meeting, the investigation and expert criminology activities were reviewed critically. A number of tasks were assigned to ensure the protection of information and cyber security in the field, including improving investigator and expert qualifications and improving the system using innovative and scientific methods in conjunction with the newly established Research Institute of Criminology by implementing modern legal and scientific developments in information exchange and decision-making.
Also, at the event, during the reporting period of the last year, issues related to fighting crime, implementing the tasks defined in the concept of public security, early prevention of violations, service discipline, and compliance with legality, among other issues, were discussed in depth.
Following the event, the suggestions and opinions of the sector managers were heard regarding the problems raised and the issues awaiting resolution, and specific tasks were defined regarding the elimination of the identified shortcomings as well as the work to be carried out in the future.
