2025-01-16 09:00:00 / News
All law enforcement officers work 24/7 to maintain peace and order, ensure public safety, and prevent crimes and offences in Tashkent.
Even so, the high number of crimes related to the illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and strong-acting drugs is a sad reality.
As a result of the measures taken by law enforcement officers to combat these types of crimes, 3,447 criminal cases were initiated in the capital in 2024 based on the cases identified.
Approximately 70 percent of these crimes were connected to the Internet, which accounted for 2,413 crimes.
This resulted in the registration of 238 kg 815 grams of narcotics, psychotropic substances, and strong-acting drugs and the termination of their illegal trafficking.
It is important not to overlook the fact that behind each of these statistics is a person's fate, the health of citizens, and the future of the young generation.
On January 15, 2025, Tashkent initiated a month of complex special operational and preventive measures called "Safe and Healthy Capital" to combat such crimes and prevent violations early on. 24/7 service will be provided by law enforcement agencies throughout the month, which will last until February 15. Special night and day groups will also be formed during the month.
During the month, night raids will be conducted in an intensified manner, cases such as carrying sharp objects and other prohibited items, distributing narcotics, and engaging in "narcograffiti" will be identified, and legal action will be taken.
Dear fellow citizens and visitors to our capital! We ask you to actively participate in this month.
If you have information about those involved in the distribution of narcotics or potent drugs, as well as individuals who write narco graffiti, please contact us by phone at 71-206-44-79 or via the Telegram bot @stopnarko_bot.
