An event was held at the invitation of the Italian Minister of Internal Affairs, Matteo Piantedosi, on the implementation of the "Roadmap" signed following the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Italy (June 8-9, 2023).

At the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Internal Affairs between the Governments of Uzbekistan and Italy, signed in Rome in June 2023, as well as the development of cooperation in combating terrorism, drug trafficking and other types of transnational crimes, and public security. They also discussed creating a mechanism for interdepartmental coordination, exchanging experience in the field of law enforcement, incorporating digital technologies, and expanding multilateral cooperation.

The friendly and constructive meeting identified promising tasks for developing mutual cooperation.

Furthermore, during the visit to Italy, the delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan was able to gain an understanding of the activities of the Italian State Police as well as the National Police Academy.
