Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Aziz Tashpulatov, met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye, Ufuk Ulutash.

During the meeting, the parties noted that the multifaceted bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Türkiye have gained a new momentum in recent years and are continuing to strengthen. Law enforcement cooperation is also expanding along with relations in politics, economics, culture, and humanitarian aid.

An overview of the current state of cooperation between the internal affairs bodies of the two countries as well as prospects for its further development was discussed. They paid particular attention to exchanging experiences related to the fight against crime, terrorism, extremism, transnational organized crime, drug trafficking, and cybercrime.

As a result of the meeting, both parties expressed their mutual interest in further strengthening cooperation in the areas of law enforcement and public security, continuing mutually beneficial relations, and identifying areas of priority for future collaboration.
