The leadership of the Navoi Regional Internal Affairs Department presented a report at a session of the Regional Council on the work being carried out to ensure public safety and combat crime.
The session reviewed the results achieved and existing weaknesses in strengthening the rule of law and maintaining public order in the region, preventing offenses, detecting crimes, and identifying future priorities.
An emphasis was placed on the effectiveness of measures aimed at combating trafficking and use of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances among young people, and preventing related crimes at an early stage.
Additionally, participants were provided with a summary of the work undertaken, the crimes identified and uncovered, and awareness-raising activities conducted among the citizens to ensure their safety.
The session concluded with recommendations for combatting cybercrime, improving citizens' financial literacy, strengthening early crime prevention, and providing widespread access to the "APK Qoriqchi" application.
