The head of the Sirdarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs, Colonel Sardor Mirzaraimov, held a meeting with the participation of deputy heads of the department and heads of sectoral services.

The meeting focused on measures to prevent the spread of drugs and psychotropic substances among young people and protect citizens from cybercrime.

First, participants reviewed the work carried out as part of the nationwide comprehensive preventive campaign, “Combating the Spread of Drug Addiction and Psychotropic Substances Among Young People,” scheduled to run from October 1 to November 1 this year.

A particular focus was placed on preventing drug addiction among young people, identifying offenses in their earliest stages, effectively organizing preventive measures, and increasing awareness.

The meeting also discussed efforts to promote the APK Guardian mobile application among the public, inform citizens about its features, and raise awareness of cybersecurity.

Following the meeting, responsible officials were assigned tasks for improving the effectiveness of preventive measures, maintaining efforts to prevent the addiction of young people to drugs, as well as increasing public awareness activities aimed at protecting citizens against cybercrime.
