In recognition of its significant contribution to the protection of information and cybersecurity of digital infrastructure, the Ministry of Internal Affairs was among the first state organizations to receive recognition.
The development of the cybersecurity sector and the development of qualified specialists in this field have been identified as priority areas of state policy in Uzbekistan. A Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan approved the Cybersecurity Strategy for 2026-2030.
On October 5–6, 2026, the Cyberkent 4.0 cybersecurity competition was held in Tashkent by the Cybersecurity Center State Institution as part of the Central Eurasia Cybersecurity Summit.
The competition included the “Blue Teams” category, which focused on protecting information systems and infrastructure, identifying and eliminating vulnerabilities, analyzing security monitoring data, detecting indicators of attacks, and investigating cybersecurity incidents to prevent their recurrence.
In this category, the “SOC MIA” team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Department of Digital Technologies and Legal Statistics demonstrated its practical skills in identifying potential cyber threats in information systems and network infrastructure, monitoring and analyzing security incidents, detecting indicators of attacks, and promptly responding to identified threats.
The team members also demonstrated a high level of professional competence in tracing cyberattacks, analyzing their causes, eliminating system vulnerabilities, and preventing similar incidents from recurring.
In addition, a representative of the Ministry’s Department of Digital Technologies and Legal Statistics, who delivered a presentation at the “CYBER MULOQOT” seminar-training held as part of the event, was recognized as the most active participant and received an award.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs also received special recognition and an award for being one of the first state organizations to introduce a system for detecting and monitoring cybersecurity threats and providing early warnings about such threats through the Department of Digital Technologies and Legal Statistics.
These achievements demonstrate the recognition of the knowledge, practical skills, and experience of the Ministry's cybersecurity specialists at both the national and international levels.
