The head of the Sirdarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs, Colonel Sardor Mirzaraimov, visited Saykhunabad district in order to review the work being done to prevent crime, maintain stability in a criminogenic situation, and ensure the well-being of the residents.

First, the activities of the “mahalla seven” at the “Ittifak” mahalla citizens’ assembly were reviewed. The report of the prevention inspector on the work with citizens’ appeals and special categories of persons was heard, and the service house was inspected.

The effectiveness of the measures taken to ensure the well-being of the population and the targeted response to citizens' appeals in the "Ittifak" and "Turon" mahallas was also reviewed. The problems and needs of low-income families and families in need of social protection were analyzed.

In addition, the service conditions established for the employees of the district Department of Internal Affairs, the organization of the service activities, and the opportunities available were reviewed. Also, the head of the department presented information about crime prevention and crime control activities in the region.

Following the review, a meeting was held at the district Department of Internal Affairs. Responsible officials were assigned specific tasks to resolve and eliminate the identified shortcomings, strengthen executive and service discipline, and improve the effectiveness of preventing crimes and offenses in the region.
