The MIA delegation from Uzbekistan participated in a seminar on digital forensics technologies in China

From September 7 to 20, 2026, a delegation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the “Digital Forensics Technologies” seminar held at the Police Institute in Dalian, People’s Republic of China.
The seminar covered topics such as the legal and regulatory framework for collecting and preserving electronic evidence, file systems, methods for recovering damaged, deleted, or encrypted data, and the analysis of computer memory images. Also, they gained an understanding of specialized hardware and software tools developed in China.
Modern methods of extracting data from smartphones, tablets, and other electronic devices, as well as approaches to analyzing encrypted messaging applications and cloud storage services, were examined in the field of mobile forensics.
Additionally, the seminar covered methods for reducing noise in audio recordings, identifying speakers, verifying authenticity, detecting deepfakes, and identifying and verifying photographs and videos.
The seminar contributed to further improving the professional knowledge and practical skills of specialists from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan in digital forensics, forensic science, and public safety.
