A dialogue with pardoned citizens was held in Bukhara

The Bukhara Regional Vocational Skills Center hosted a meeting with citizens who had been pardoned by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The meeting was attended by the regional governor, the prosecutor, and the Head of the Regional Department of Internal Affairs.
The regional governor stated that pardoned citizens are full members of society and urged them not to return to criminal activity.
He emphasized the importance of quickly adapting to social life and appreciating the opportunities and freedom granted by the president.
A regional prosecutor recalled the principles of the rule of law and the inevitability of punishment in the country, emphasizing the necessity of justifying the strong degree of humanism and trust demonstrated by the pardon.
The Head of the Bukhara Regional Department of Internal Affairs noted that, in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 173, a total of 40 citizens in Bukhara region were pardoned.
The Regional Department of Internal Affairs leadership held an open dialogue with pardoned citizens to hear their problems, questions, and proposals.
The citizens were urged not to commit crimes or offenses again, to live peacefully with their families, and to perform useful work for the good of society and the state.
It was emphasized that pardons are only granted to citizens once as acts of humanity. This opportunity could not be granted again if they committed a crime again.
Each pardoned citizen was then personally interviewed by the regional governor to determine whether they had drawn the appropriate conclusions from their past experiences.
During the meeting, citizens appealed for practical assistance in resolving their problems, including finding employment, starting livestock farming, and developing handicrafts.
Following the event, officials provided recommendations on doing honest work, taking advantage of opportunities, and living with a clear conscience for the future.
