Cooperation between Uzbekistan and China in law enforcement reaches a new level

At the invitation of the Chinese side, a bilateral meeting was held between Lieutenant General Aziz Tashpulatov, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Wang Xiaohong, Minister of Public Security of the People's Republic of China.
In their discussions, the sides stressed the importance of expanding cooperation within the "Central Asia-China" format, continuing to implement the Cooperation Program 2026-2027, and strengthening practical ties between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries.
During the meeting, high appreciation was expressed for the contribution of the Government of China and the Ministry of Public Security to strengthening the material and technical capacity of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan.
Specifically, it was noted that the Innovative Education Center at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will play a key role in training specialists with modern knowledge and skills.
A special focus was placed on strengthening cooperation against terrorism and extremism, illegal drug trafficking, organized crime, and other transnational crimes.
The meeting also discussed cybersecurity and digital forensics best practices, as well as expanding practical cooperation between law enforcement agencies.
The parties exchanged views on developing cooperation in biometric identification, modern forensic technologies, police aviation, and drone use.
During the friendly and constructive meeting, key tasks were identified for further developing cooperation in the above-mentioned areas.
