A training seminar on combating cybercrime was held in Samarkand region

The Department for Combating Cybercrime held training seminars for the heads and employees of all city and district territorial divisions of Samarkand region in accordance with the relevant order issued by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The seminars were designed to improve the employees' professional knowledge and practical skills. A particular focus was given to detecting cybercrimes, analyzing and identifying the methods used to commit them, and working with electronic devices and digital data as well as identifying, collecting, storing, and processing digital evidence in accordance with relevant procedure.
Additionally, the participants received theoretical and practical training regarding Internet fraud, crimes involving bank cards, and the identification of offenses committed through social networks and messengers, as well as effective measures to combat them.
Furthermore, the seminars covered current cyber threats, new methods of committing crimes, methods for identifying and analyzing digital evidence, and techniques for investigating cybercrime.
Training sessions like these help strengthen employees' professional skills, promote a coordinated approach to combating cybercrime, facilitate the exchange of experience, and assist in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of detection and investigation of cybercrime.
