Short-term training on combating cybercrime was held at the Academy

On August 6–8, short-term training sessions on combating cybercrime were held at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The session brought together investigators and operational officers from the territorial departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Department for Combating Cybercrime.
A primary objective of the training was to enhance the knowledge and practical skills of employees in the early detection and prevention of cybercrime, identification, and investigation of cybercrime. Specialists from the Department for Combating Cybercrime, qualified experts, representatives of partner organizations, and academy professors and instructors conducted the sessions utilizing modern interactive and simulation-based methods.
The participants studied a range of current topics, including state policy and legislation on combating cybercrime, investigative procedures and measures for detecting cybercrimes, investigations of crimes involving the theft of funds from bank cards, methods for identifying online drug shops and drug laboratories, and investigation tactics related to Internet fraud, bank card crimes, cryptocurrency, and phishing.
The participants also visited the Forensic Center, where they were introduced to modern technical equipment and practical approaches to examining digital evidence.
