Uzbekistan and Russia strengthen their cooperation in combating crime

The next meeting of the interdepartmental coordination working group of the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan and Russia was held in Moscow.
The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, Major General Botir Kudratkhodjaev, and a delegation of the Ministry, as well as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia, Police Colonel General Andrey Khrapov, and heads of relevant services.
The parties discussed practical cooperation in combating crime, ensuring public safety, preventing transnational crime, and improving personnel training.
The importance of enhancing information exchange and coordinating joint measures using modern information technologies was stressed.
The meeting was held in an open and constructive environment. The parties noted the importance of further developing interdepartmental cooperation and strengthening mutual trust.
The Uzbek delegation also visited the main departments of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow and St. Petersburg, where issues related to protecting the rights and freedoms of Uzbek citizens and preventing crime were discussed.
