A working group led by Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Aziz Tashpulatov, reviewed the effectiveness of measures aimed at stabilizing the criminogenic situation in Khorezm region, preventing crimes at an early stage, and creating a safe environment in the mahallas.

A preliminary inspection of the construction of a new railway station near Urgench International Airport was conducted as part of the study. An emphasis has been placed on the planning and design of the facility, the engineering and technical solutions for ensuring public safety, providing safe conditions for passengers, preventing crime, and establishing the necessary security infrastructure.

Additionally, the quality of construction work, engineering, and communications networks, as well as opportunities to provide modern and safe transportation services to the population were evaluated.

Further, the working group inspected the newly renovated administrative building of the Khiva City Internal Affairs Department's Traffic Safety Group. The conditions created to ensure the quality and efficiency of public services have been assessed, with particular attention being paid to areas that require improvement. As part of the review, relevant recommendations were made regarding the working conditions provided to employees.

A detailed evaluation of preparations for the international "Kovun Sayli - 2026" festival, which will take place in Khiva on August 7–9, was also conducted. Participants discussed measures for maintaining public order, ensuring road safety, preventing emergencies, and creating safe conditions for locals and foreign visitors. Responsible officials were instructed to use modern technical security equipment effectively, distribute forces and resources appropriately, and ensure coordinated work among the relevant services.

As part of efforts to develop tourism infrastructure in Khiva, a major tourist destination in the country, newly constructed hotels, service facilities, and complexes were also inspected. Particular attention was paid to ensuring that tourism projects are implemented in accordance with security requirements and that safe and comfortable conditions are created for visitors.

Additionally, the working group identified important measures for extending the experience of innovative solutions, digital control systems, and modern surveillance technologies in the Olympia mahalla of Urgench, which was recognized by the Head of State, to other areas through the "Smart Mahalla" program.

During a meeting with members of the mahalla "seven," including the prevention inspector, the criminogenic situation, work with public appeals, and the early identification and resolution of problems were discussed. An emphasis was placed on strengthening the responsibility of prevention inspectors in ensuring citizens' safety and improving cooperation within the mahalla system.

In addition, the activities of the Security Service unit serving the mahalla were reviewed. Responsible officials were given instructions to further improve service organization, strengthen quick response mechanisms, enhance technical equipment, and maintain service discipline.

As part of the meeting held by the Ministry of Internal Affairs on July 30, the second stage of the "Safe and Healthy Country" comprehensive preventive measures was reviewed, as well as the activities within that framework.

Responsible leaders were given specific tasks to further improve the system of enhanced night-duty activities, strengthen crime prevention, and ensure targeted cooperation between sectoral services and the population.
