The Uzbek Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Championship among athletes under 18 and adults was held at a high level from July 29 to 31 at the "JAR" Sports and Recreation Complex of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
At the prestigious competition, nearly 400 athletes from all regions of the country competed for top honors. Throughout the three-day championship, the contestants demonstrated strong athletic skills, physical fitness, and determination, presenting spectators with exciting and intense competition.
Following the competition, winners and prize-winners were identified in all weight categories. Based on the championship results, the Uzbek national team will be formed from the most talented athletes. The team will represent the country at the World Championship, which will be held in October this year in Tbilisi, Georgia.
In the overall team standings, Tashkent city took first place with 7 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze medals, winning 14 medals in total. Tashkent region placed second with 5 gold, 1 silver, and 13 bronze medals, for a total of 19 medals. Kashkadarya region finished third with 3 gold, 2 silver, and 8 bronze medals, winning 13 medals overall.
A total of 128 medals were awarded during the championship.
This competition played a pivotal role in promoting mixed martial arts, identifying promising young athletes, and forming a strong national team capable of representing the country at international competitions.
In a solemn ceremony, the winners and prize winners received their awards.
