A suspect who was wanted internationally for a crime related to extremism has been extradited from Poland

A person internationally wanted for committing an offence under Part 1 of Article 244-2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan has been extradited to Uzbekistan as a result of effective cooperation between the National Central Bureaus of Interpol in Tashkent and Warsaw.
An international wanted notice was issued by Interpol after the suspect left the territory of Uzbekistan following the initiation of criminal proceedings.
As a result of coordinated efforts by the National Central Bureaus of Interpol in Tashkent and Warsaw, and in conjunction with a representative of the Uzbek Embassy in the Republic of Poland, the suspect's whereabouts have been determined. The individual has been transferred to the Uzbek Central Bureau of Interpol as part of international cooperation and extradition procedures.
An additional example of effective cooperation between the competent authorities of Uzbekistan and Poland, this extradition shows the importance of international police cooperation in the process of locating and returning individuals wanted for criminal prosecutions.
National Central Bureau of Interpol in Uzbekistan has stressed that fleeing abroad to evade justice does not exempt wanted persons from criminal liability, regardless of where they are located. International police cooperation continues to be used to identify, detain, and return wanted individuals for prosecution in accordance with the law in Uzbekistan.
