The report of the head of the regional Internal Affairs Department was heard at the next session of the Samarkand Regional Council of People's Deputies

In this session, Major General Tokhir Aripov, head of the regional Internal Affairs Department, presented a report on the work done to improve the criminal situation in the region, prevent crimes and eliminate offenses.
An emphasis was placed on the measures taken in the first six months of 2026 as well as the tasks to be accomplished in this regard in the future.
Furthermore, particular attention was paid to the implementation of tasks that were set in the critical selector meeting of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the tasks that should be completed in the future to combat organized crime, drug offenses, cybercrimes, and underground business activities.
During the meeting, information was provided on the work being done in the Samarkand region to combat crime and the projects being undertaken to ensure the safety of citizens.
Following the discussion, the deputies' proposals and recommendations were taken into consideration, and future priorities were determined.
