As part of the reforms initiated by the Head of State to uphold human dignity, strengthen the rule of law, and build a professional public service, special attention is given to the continued development of the law enforcement system.
One of the key priorities is to provide the internal affairs bodies with highly qualified personnel with modern knowledge and strong professional skills, as well as a deep sense of responsibility for serving the motherland and the interests of the people.
The importance of these priorities was reflected in a solemn ceremony held to award the first special ranks to graduates of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and to administer the oath of service to internal affairs officers.
Organizers of the event noted that this event marked another result of reforms aimed at enhancing law enforcement in the country. Internal affairs officers of today are expected to possess sound legal knowledge, high moral standards, initiative, modern thinking, as well as an unwavering dedication to serving the public.
It was highlighted during the ceremony that ongoing reforms in the personnel training system, the modernization of the educational process, and the integration of theory with practice have produced positive results. The Law Enforcement Academy was recognized for its important role in preparing officers who combine professional legal expertise with a strong sense of responsibility, independent decision-making skills, and the ability to respond appropriately to modern challenges.
The award of the graduates' first special rank of Lieutenant was one of the most significant moments of the ceremony. The rank symbolizes the trust placed in them by the state and the citizens, their commitment to the rule of law, and their responsibility for maintaining public safety. Young officers now have the responsibility of protecting citizens' rights and freedoms, preventing crime, and strengthening the rule of law.
A solemn commitment to serve the Motherland faithfully, justify the trust of the people, and conscientiously discharge official duties was associated with a solemn administration of the oath of service. The ceremony also highlighted the enduring values of national statehood, noting that the principles of justice, courage, determination, and vigilance exemplified by Sahibkiran Amir Temur continue to serve as guiding values for today's law enforcement officers.
The Head of State's reforms aimed at building an open, professional, and modern law enforcement system that serves the interests of the people have resulted in a new generation of qualified, patriotic, and civic-minded personnel joining the profession as a result.
Following the ceremony, the graduates were congratulated on joining the ranks of the Internal Affairs bodies, receiving their first special ranks, and taking the oath of service. They were wished success in serving the people and the homeland faithfully and in justifying the trust placed in them by the state and society.
The event reaffirmed that the peace, security, and sustainable development of New Uzbekistan are closely linked to the dedication, professionalism, and responsibility of its law enforcement officers.
The newly recruited officers are expected to make a worthy contribution to strengthening the rule of law, ensuring public safety, and maintaining public order.
