Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The Ministry of Internal Affairs held a solemn event to honor the distinguished service of veteran officers and to recognize the dedication of young personnel who are actively contributing to the development of the country.

Honoring veterans and valuing their many years of professional experience remains one of the longstanding traditions of the internal affairs bodies. The achievements of today are built upon the experience of dedicated mentors, the generations of officers they have trained, and their unwavering commitment to serving the Motherland.

These enduring values were reflected in the event.

During the ceremony, retired Major General Erkin Norgitov, Chairman of the Veterans Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, was congratulated on his 80th birthday in recognition of his many years of dedicated service to the internal affairs system.

In their remarks, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and invited guests noted that veterans constitute one of the system's most valuable assets. Today, more than 96,000 veterans continue to share their professional and life experiences with young generations, contributing to the development of patriotism, professional dedication, and a commitment to serving others.

As part of the event, veterans were also recognized for their active involvement in public life. Currently, 4,820 veterans serve in various ministries and government agencies, 775 work as mahalla chairpersons, 29 are deputies of local councils, and one serves as a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Veterans continue to make significant contributions to both the internal affairs system and the development of the country through these achievements.

During the event, a documentary film was screened honoring the life and service of Erkin Norgitov. His distinguished career in internal affairs bodies, his leadership, and his commitment to educating thousands of officers were highlighted in the film.

During his address to the participants, the Minister of Internal Affairs underscored that the true value of a person is determined not by their position, but by the honesty with which they serve their nation, the trust that they earn from the people, and the worthy successors they inspire. Erkin Norgitov's life and career were presented as a model that embodied these values.

Additionally, the ceremony recognized young officers who have made a significant contribution to the country's reform process and who have demonstrated both loyalty to the country and dedication to their profession.

In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Awarding the 'Mard Uglon' State Award" and the order of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Senior Sergeant Dilshodbek Ulugbek ugli Yuldashev, Senior Specialist-Sniper of the Rapid Tasks Mobilization Battalion of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department, was presented with the prestigious "Mard Uglon" State Award.

The award recognizes the high level of recognition and trust placed in young officers who safeguard the country's peace and security and protect the interests of its citizens.

The event concluded with a reaffirmation that the strength of the internal affairs bodies lies in the combination of experienced mentors and their worthy successors. This continuity of generations remains a strong foundation for the further development of the system, the peace and security of the nation, and the future of New Uzbekistan.
