Three Interpol-wanted individuals have returned to Uzbekistan

As a result of operational search activities conducted by the National Central Bureau of Interpol in the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Turkey and the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul, three individuals wanted internationally have been returned to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The operation reflects the effective cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan and Turkey, including the prompt exchange of information on combating crime and identifying and detaining wanted persons.
During the operation, three internationally wanted individuals hiding in Istanbul were located and detained.
Among them was a 28-year-old resident of the Samarkand region who had been placed on the international wanted list on charges of committing a serious crime related to sexual violence.
A 34-year-old resident of the Bukhara region, wanted on fraud charges, was also detained.
In addition, a 50-year-old resident of Tashkent, who had been placed on the international wanted list for large-scale fraud, was apprehended.
Following their detention, all three individuals were returned to Uzbekistan in accordance with established legal procedures and handed over to the relevant law enforcement authorities.
The National Central Bureau of Interpol in the Republic of Uzbekistan continues to make effective use of international cooperation mechanisms in combating transnational crime, locating wanted persons, and ensuring their prosecution.
