Samarkand Regional Internal Affairs Department reviewed first-half results in the presence of Ministry leadership

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Colonel Ramazon Ashropov, and Head of the Samarkand Regional Internal Affairs Department, Major General Tohir Aripov, held a review meeting on the service activities of the Samarkand Regional Internal Affairs Department for the first six months of 2026.
An overview of the criminal situation in the region was presented by the First Deputy Head of the Samarkand Regional Internal Affairs Department at the beginning of the meeting.
A critical analysis of the activities of the sectoral services and territorial internal affairs bodies was then conducted, focusing on prevention of crime and offenses early on, efforts in areas with a challenging criminogenic situation, and shortcomings in crime prevention efforts.
Participants also discussed the work being undertaken to prevent crime and offenses, maintain public order, and create a safe environment for citizens throughout the region. Along with the achievements, existing shortcomings were discussed, and priority tasks for the period ahead were identified.
A special focus was placed on implementing the President's resolution to create a safe environment in mahallas. The meeting emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation with the mahalla seven and other law enforcement agencies to ensure the effective implementation of the tasks set out in the resolution.
