Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The Ministry of Internal Affairs hosted a videoconference meeting under the leadership of Deputy Minister Colonel Z.K. Kurbanov to review the results achieved in the area of digitalization and information security during the first six months of this year, as well as to discuss existing shortcomings.

Heads of sectoral services of the Ministry's Central Office, as well as leaders of regional and structural internal affairs bodies, attended the meeting.

A number of significant achievements have been noted in the process of digital transformation of the internal affairs system. The Ministry of Internal Affairs was recognized as the winner in the "Exemplary State Body for the Provision of Public Services" category of the Quality Public Administration program (Government Quality Award). The Ministry also ranked fifth in the first-half 2026 assessment of digital development among republican and local executive authorities through the NIS.uz system and was ranked first in the Information and Cybersecurity Monitoring System.

The meeting emphasized the importance of improving the existing digital work processes and addressing identified issues in a timely manner.

As part of the Safe City project, a special attention was paid to the use of the Single Electronic Document Exchange system, while existing shortcomings in the Turnstile system were also examined closely.

Reports and proposals from responsible officials were considered, and the performance of regional leaders with unsatisfactory results was critically evaluated.

Following the meeting, priority tasks were identified for the digitalization of all aspects of the internal affairs system.
