Today, Lieutenant General Aziz Tashpulatov, Minister of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, held another meeting with representatives of sectoral services, territorial divisions, and other internal affairs authorities.
The meeting was primarily focused on implementing the instructions issued during the recent videoconference chaired by Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Uzbekistan Republic. Discussions centered on priority tasks related to creating a new environment in mahallas, reorganizing the activities of the mahalla seven, organizing the "Improvement and Well-Being" month and upgrading facilities for internal affairs bodies and prevention inspectors.
A particular emphasis was placed on enhancing the prevention of crime in mahallas, installing surveillance cameras on internal streets, creating safe streets and corridors, providing scientific approaches to citizens' concerns, and improving psychological support for families. In this regard, plans were discussed to develop a methodology based on the experience of exemplary mahallas in cooperation with scientific institutions responsible for crime prevention and to provide training for prevention inspectors serving in red- and yellow-category mahallas using this methodology.
Moreover, responsible officials were required to equip prevention inspectors with body cameras, to expand the application of successful regional practices, to improve citizen identification procedures, and to automate the preparation of administrative protocols and the electronic submission of court documents.
In addition, the meeting reviewed the results achieved during the first 15 days of the nationwide "Safe and Healthy Country" operational-preventive campaign, as well as identifying areas for improvement. It was emphasized that the campaign's primary objective is to ensure the safety, peace, and well-being of the population, and that every employee should clearly understand this responsibility so that its positive impact is reflected in the daily lives of citizens.
As part of the second half of the campaign, responsible officials were instructed to address existing deficiencies, improve the effectiveness of preventive and operational search activities, strengthen cooperation with relevant ministries, agencies, and law enforcement agencies, and increase coordination with the mahalla seven.
Additionally, the meeting reviewed progress in the digital transformation of the internal affairs system, including the transition to fully electronic document management. A particular emphasis was placed on eliminating existing deficiencies, enhancing the implementation of "paperless days," and completing ongoing technical projects.
Following the meeting, the Minister of Internal Affairs instructed officials to ensure that all personnel perform their duties in strict compliance with the law, to carefully review every appeal and request submitted by citizens, and to respond promptly to them.
