Issues of effective organization of nationwide measures for "Safe and Healthy Country" campaign and ensuring public safety were discussed in Tashkent region

The "Safe and Healthy Country" complex operational-preventive measures were implemented in our country on July 1 in an effort to prevent crimes early, prevent offenses, maintain public safety, and protect the health of the population and the gene pool from the threat of drug addiction.
The operational meeting was chaired by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Aziz Tashpulatov. It focused on the key tasks for implementing the campaign effectively throughout the Tashkent region.
Representatives of the Tashkent Regional Department of Internal Affairs, district internal affairs chiefs, representatives of law enforcement agencies, and members of the public attended the meeting. During the month-long campaign, participants discussed priority issues that should be addressed.
The officials were instructed to strengthen preventive measures, expand outreach to the public, particularly young people, and create awareness in order to prevent involvement in drug-related offenses. Furthermore, the importance of close collaboration with healthcare institutions, narcologists, and psychologists was emphasized.
A major focus has been placed on strengthening cybersecurity and enhancing public awareness campaigns in order to ensure citizens are protected from crimes relating to information technology.
During the campaign, service activities will be intensified, with stronger control measures to prevent public disorder, domestic offenses, road traffic accidents, and incidents involving sharp objects.
In addition, the meeting focused on combating online drug distribution, identifying illegal drug laboratories, and encouraging a greater public involvement in these efforts. The cooperation between operational units and regional law enforcement agencies will be strengthened, and responsible officials have been assigned specific tasks to ensure the rule of law and a fair punishment for criminal offenses.
Also, participants emphasized the importance of stabilizing the crime situation in mahallas, particularly in "red" areas, while taking into account local conditions when coordinating the activities of the existing working groups.
The meeting was concluded with instructions for responsible officials to ensure the timely and effective completion of all assigned tasks, organize targeted preventive measures, and perform their duties with high levels of personal accountability.
