A study conducted to strengthen public safety in 'red' category mahallas in Yangi Namangan district

To prevent crimes and offences, stabilize the criminogenic situation, and ensure a safe and peaceful living environment for residents, enhanced preventive measures are currently being implemented in 33 mahallas classified as "red" throughout the region.
A working group of the Namangan Regional Department of Internal Affairs, along with the district governor, conducted a review in the "Sakhovat", "Bunyodkor", "Beruniy", and "Guliston" mahallas of Yangi Namangan District.
During the visit, the current situation in the mahallas, the organization of prevention activities, and the measures implemented by the responsible officials and sectoral services were thoroughly assessed. Particular attention was paid to strengthening targeted work in the communities, improving the effectiveness of preventive measures, enhancing accountability of the officials assigned to the mahallas, and strengthening the cooperation between prevention inspectors, mahalla activists, and other relevant agencies.
Additionally, responsible officials were assigned the responsibility for promoting targeted legal awareness and prevention initiatives among specific groups of residents, young people, and vulnerable families, as well as ensuring timely consideration of citizens' appeals.
Internal affairs personnel are continuing to enhance preventive activities within the region.
