The Ministry of Internal Affairs celebrates Press and Mass Media Workers' Day

The Ministry of Internal Affairs held a festive gathering to mark June 27 – Press and Mass Media Workers’ Day. In recent years, special attention has been paid by the Head of State to strengthening openness to government activities and promoting freedom of speech. In this regard, the Ministry’s press services continue to play a significant role in building effective communication between state institutions and the media.
The celebration was attended by the Ministry leadership, veterans, heads of regional and sectoral services, representatives of the Ministry’s press services, media professionals, and members of the creative community.
The Minister of Internal Affairs, Lieutenant General Aziz Tashpulatov, opened the ceremony by congratulating the participants and highlighting the significance of Press and Mass Media Workers' Day to both media professionals and society at large.
Additionally, the Minister recognized the efforts of employees of the press service, technical specialists, and creative professionals who provide regular updates to the public about internal affairs bodies' activities and help strengthen the reputation of the system.
A number of priority tasks were outlined at the meeting, including building on the positive results achieved, strengthening public trust through timely and transparent communication, and expanding cooperation with journalists and bloggers.
A particular emphasis was placed on the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into the activities of press services, and the responsible officials were assigned practical tasks in this regard.
At the event, a video prepared by the Ministry's Press Service was also presented. As a result of agreements signed with the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan and the National Media Association, 15 television programs are currently being broadcast in Uzbekistan on a daily and weekly basis to promote the activities of the internal affairs bodies.
In addition, 24 official websites of the Ministry’s sectoral services and regional internal affairs bodies are operating continuously. Their content is integrated with popular social media platforms and video-sharing services, reaching millions of users.
Following the event, a group of employees received awards in accordance with the order of the Minister of Internal Affairs in recognition of their contributions to Press and Mass Media Workers’ Day.
