Practical crime prevention efforts were reviewed in Samarkand region

Deputy MinisterThe working group led by First Deputy Prosecutor General Bakhodir Valiev and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Rustam Ashropov continues to conduct field visits in Samarkand.
During the visit, members of the working group reviewed activities taking place in the "Ahmadjon Kurbanov" mahalla in the Jomboy District. They were presented with the measures being implemented to prevent crime and maintain a stable criminogenic environment in mahallas that have remained outside the "red" category for the past three years. A review of the activities of the mahalla seven was also conducted.
In addition, the working group reviewed the work being carried out in 16 mahallas attached to the regional Department of Justice in accordance with Presidential Resolutions No. PR-1 and PR-2 of January 5, 2026. An emphasis was placed on working with families experiencing conflict and improving the effectiveness of crime prevention programs.
Discussions focused on practical approaches of supporting families experiencing social difficulties, identifying and addressing the underlying causes of family conflicts, and strengthening measures to prevent crime. Fraud and cybercrime efforts were also analyzed.
The study concluded with targeted instructions given to responsible officials to strengthen early prevention of crime and offences and to maintain a stable criminogenic environment in mahallas.
