A citizen wanted internationally on charges of extortion has been extradited to Uzbekistan as a result of effective cooperation between the National Central Bureau of Interpol of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Central Bureau of Interpol of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The wanted individual was located and detained in Egypt. After reviewing the relevant materials and completing the necessary extradition procedures, a decision was made to transfer the suspect to the Uzbek side.
Due to the absence of direct flights between Cairo and Tashkent, the extradition was conducted via the Russian Federation. The National Central Bureau of Interpol of the Russian Federation provided practical assistance in ensuring the smooth transit of the individual through Domodedovo International Airport.
Upon arrival in Uzbekistan, the extradited person was handed over to the competent law enforcement authorities for further procedural actions in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This operation once again demonstrated the effectiveness of international police cooperation through Interpol channels and reaffirmed the commitment of law enforcement agencies to ensure that individuals wanted for crimes are brought to justice.
