The DIA of Namangan region reviewed crime prevention efforts in Chust district

Internal affairs bodies are continuously working to prevent crime and offences, maintain public safety, and address issues affecting local residents.
As part of these efforts, the head of the Namangan Regional Department of Internal Affairs visited the “Mustaqillik,” “Yangi Bogishamol,” and “Laylak Uya” mahallas in Chust district. Together with the district governor, prosecutor, and community representatives, the head of the department discussed the causes of a serious crime that occurred in the “Mustaqillik” mahalla, the factors that contributed to it, and measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
The activities of the Chust District Department of Internal Affairs were also reviewed. Particular attention was given to crime prevention efforts, the handling of citizens’ appeals, the maintenance of public order, and measures to ensure the safety of residents.
Following the review, responsible officials were assigned specific tasks to strengthen preventive work in mahallas, identify the root causes of crime, regularly study local issues, detect potential conflicts at an early stage, and maintain a stable public safety situation throughout the district.
