Two internationally wanted individuals returned to Uzbekistan with the assistance of the NCB Interpol of the MIA

As a result of effective cooperation between the National Central Bureau of Interpol of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the competent authorities of the Republic of Türkiye, two individuals who had been placed on the international wanted list had been identified, detained, and returned to Uzbekistan.
A successful operation was made possible by the timely exchange of information, close coordination, and constructive cooperation of law enforcement agencies in the two countries. Following the relevant procedures, the Turkish authorities made a decision to deport the wanted individuals to Uzbekistan. According to available information, one of the detainees was wanted by the law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan on charges of intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm under Article 104 of the Criminal Code. The second individual was sought in connection with a fraud case under Article 168 of the Criminal Code.
Today, these two wanted individuals were brought by air from Istanbul to the Islam Karimov International Airport and handed over to the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Uzbekistan for further procedural actions in accordance with the legislation of our country.
The National Central Bureau of Interpol of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan continues to work systematically to locate and return individuals evading investigative and judicial authorities abroad. It remains a priority to strengthen international cooperation in combating transnational and cross-border crime.
