At the Advanced Training Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a training session was conducted on information policy, media engagement, and effective public communication with Colonel Shokhrukh Giyasov, Head of the Ministry's Press Service. The event brought together professors and instructors of the Institute, heads of various internal affairs units, participants of specialized professional development programs for leadership positions within district and city internal affairs bodies, officers enrolled in courses to obtain the special rank of "lieutenant colonel", along with personnel undergoing retraining for appointment as officers.
A number of practical recommendations were presented during the session, including suggestions on how to strengthen relations with journalists and bloggers, build constructive and transparent relationships with media representatives, and maintain a dialogue with the public. A special emphasis was placed on the responsible and purposeful use of social media platforms as a tool for public communication.
Additionally, the training highlighted the importance of timely informing citizens about the positive activities and achievements of internal affairs bodies, ensuring the dissemination of reliable and objective information, and actively participating in the modern information environment.
Following the training, the participants' questions were answered and perspectives on the effective implementation of information policy were exchanged.
