Public Safety and Crime Prevention Priorities were identified in Namangan city

The Namangan Regional Department of Internal Affairs held a presentation meeting to review a comprehensive action plan that aims to enhance public safety and improve the effectiveness of early crime prevention efforts.
At the meeting, the head of the Namangan City Department of Internal Affairs presented key initiatives and planned measures for maintaining a stable criminogenic situation, preventing crimes, and further strengthening public safety.
As part of the analysis, particular attention was paid to determining the current state of local mahallas, identifying the factors contributing to crime, assessing the effectiveness of ongoing preventive measures, and evaluating the performance of responsible officials in implementing crime prevention programs.
Additionally, the discussions focused on the existing challenges and opportunities for improving preventive work at the community level. The participants reviewed practical approaches to addressing crime in neighborhoods with elevated crime risks and explored mechanisms for strengthening cooperation between local communities and relevant services.
Following the analysis, specific instructions were issued aimed at eliminating shortcomings, enhancing preventive efforts, and enhancing the effectiveness of work in high-risk mahallas. Responsible officials were also tasked with ensuring the prompt study and resolution of citizens’ concerns on the spot and implementing proven best practices, including successful approaches applied in the Chilanzar district.
Following the meeting, priority tasks were identified to improve public safety, strengthen criminal prevention mechanisms, and create a safer environment for residents of Namangan city.
