A working group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted a comprehensive study visit to the Republic of Karakalpakstan to assess ongoing efforts to maintain a stable criminogenic situation, improve the professional capacity of personnel, create better service conditions, and strengthen public safety measures.
During the visit, the working group reviewed construction, reconstruction, and major renovation projects being undertaken at the Nukus branch of the Training Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. A special emphasis was placed on creating the conditions for the education and professional development of future employees.
The officials stressed the necessity of implementing the tasks set by the head of state regarding the training of highly qualified specialists equipped with modern knowledge and practical skills, in addition to further improving the system for continuous education and career development within the internal affairs authorities.
Additionally, the working group inspected the construction of new facilities at the Third Regional Coordination Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. During the review, special attention was paid to initiatives designed to improve public services, create favorable working conditions for employees, and strengthen social support mechanisms for the population, taking into account the specific characteristics and needs of the region.
As part of the visit, the activities of the Bozatov District Internal Affairs Department were also examined. Responsible officials presented reports on the work being carried out, while priority tasks were outlined to strengthen early prevention of offenses, prevent crime at the mahalla level, and foster a safe and secure social environment.
Moreover, the working group reviewed the activities of the operating headquarters and working group established under the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan to implement advanced practices successfully implemented in the Chilanzar and Mirzo Ulugbek districts of Tashkent city as well as the Surkhandarya region. Specifically, the study focused on measures to improve public administration, strengthen executive discipline, and create a safer environment in Nukus.
The inspections focused primarily on the quality of work associated with citizens' appeals, executive discipline, management processes, and the overall effectiveness of service activities. Existing shortcomings were critically analyzed, and practical recommendations were developed to address the identified issues.
Following the study, responsible officials were assigned specific tasks aimed at improving efficiency, eliminating shortcomings, and expanding the implementation of successful practices across the region.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that similar study visits and monitoring activities will continue in other regions of the country in order to enhance the effectiveness of the public services and improve the efficiency of the internal affairs system.
