A wanted individual has returned to Uzbekistan from the United States

The Department of Operational Investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with law enforcement agencies of the United States and the Embassy of the United States in Tashkent, continues systematic work aimed at identifying, detaining, and returning to Uzbekistan individuals who have committed crimes and are hiding abroad.
As a result of effective international cooperation, a citizen of Uzbekistan born in 1989, who had been wanted since 2023 on charges under Part 2 of Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was located and detained in New York City. Following the completion of the necessary legal procedures, the individual was deported to Uzbekistan in accordance with established regulations.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, operational measures are being carried out consistently within the framework of international cooperation in order to identify individuals evading investigation and court proceedings, ensure their detention, and bring them to justice regardless of their location.
Continuing practical collaboration with foreign law enforcement partners contributes to maintaining public safety and ensuring the inevitability of punishment.
