Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The Ministry of Internal Affairs hosted a meeting with a delegation headed by the Australian ambassador to Uzbekistan, John Gearin.

During the meeting, the Ambassador expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm reception. He highly praised the positive development of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Australia in recent years. He also noted that expanded cooperation in law enforcement, particularly between police agencies, has become increasingly important in the current global environment.

The sides discussed promising areas for further strengthening practical cooperation between the law enforcement bodies of the two countries. An emphasis was placed on enhancing collaboration in combating terrorism, extremism, human trafficking, cybercrime, and illegal migration, as well as exchanging advanced experience and best practices.

During the meeting, both countries reaffirmed their mutual interest in strengthening effective cooperation in the area of law enforcement and public safety.
