During the meeting, Gordon Tang highly praised the quick development of mixed martial arts in Uzbekistan. In a short period of time, Uzbek athletes have steadily strengthened their positions on the international stage.
Additionally, he expressed his appreciation for the organization of the ongoing Asian Championships in Tashkent, emphasizing the high level of conditions created for athletes and guests. According to him, Uzbekistan’s growing experience in hosting major international competitions is making a significant contribution to the further development of MMA across Asia.
The parties discussed a number of important areas of cooperation, including improving the qualifications of local referees, coaches, and sports specialists, as well as jointly organizing large-scale training camps and educational programs at the continental level.
During the conversation, Aziz Tashpulatov highlighted the large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people and to support talented athletes involved in mixed martial arts in reaching international arenas.
Following the meeting, both parties agreed to further strengthen the cooperation between the Asian Martial Arts Association and the Mixed Martial Arts Association of Uzbekistan, as well as to continue implementing joint projects on an ongoing basis.
The agreements reached are expected to contribute to the continued growth of Uzbek MMA as well as further strengthen the country's international sports position.
