Issues relating to the mobility of citizens between Uzbekistan and Germany are discussed

On May 13, a meeting was held between Deputy Head of the Department of Migration and Personalization under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan Behzod Sayfullaev and Head of the Bureau for Cooperation on International Migration Issues of the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Homeland of Germany Jurgen Jung.
During the talks, the parties discussed the practical implementation of the Agreement on Comprehensive Partnership in the Field of Migration and Mobility between the Governments of Uzbekistan and Germany. In addition, they discussed prospects for further expanding bilateral cooperation in the migration field.
A particular focus was placed on protecting the rights and legitimate interests of German citizens residing in Uzbekistan and Uzbek citizens residing in Germany. The sides also discussed the need to strengthen preventive measures aimed at preventing legal violations among citizens at an early stage.
Furthermore, the parties highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation among the relevant agencies in order to support tourism development and combat illegal immigration.
The meeting served as another significant step toward strengthening practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany in the field of migration and mobility.
